Current Event | Education
In order to create a greater understanding for what is happening in your IMP country, we will be introducing the concept of Current Events, a look at what is happening NOW in your country. Each time we do this it will be centered around the concept we are studying in class. Currently we are looking at the Educational aspects of your country and feel it is important that you have a good gauge of activities which are happening right now in this area. Your job will be to find an article about any educational activities happening in your country - your article could be centered around the following:
- conferences
- primary age focus
- new programs
- special events
- presentations
- programs
The field is wide open, you just need to find it.
International Newspapers can be found through Refdesk.com or the Internet Public Library - You may wish to use Google World News (Type your country in the search engine) - you can also use the Wall Street Journal (hard copy)
Using software of your choice, recreate the table and graphic below including:
- entering information about education in your country based of the current event article you chose
- entering information about the about the US (in the same subject of education as the your article) using what you already know
Be sure to put information in the correct area to accurately compare and contrast the two countries.
If time allows, make your grapic more interesting by using flags or other appropriate graphics instead of plain boxes.
