    • Write a proposal telling why all high school students in Oregon should read your book when they study world religions. Use details about the religion from the book to explain why this is an appropriate text for high school classrooms.

    • Write a letter to a religious leader from the religion covered in your lit circle book. Tell what you learned about the religion from the book, and identify areas of interest you still have regarding the religion. What might you ask this religious leader?

    • Imagine you are the author of this book. Tell about why you decided to write a book on a particular world religion, and how you went about researching for the text. Use details from the book to explain your writing process.

    • Pretend you are applying for a study abroad program to a location that is significant to the world religion in your book (ie Holy Cow-- India, People of the Book-- Isreal, etc.). Tell how this book has prepared you to study in this country, and explain the religious knowledge you now have after reading the book. Use details from the book to explain this religion.
