    • Print and actively read (highlight and make notes) five commentaries from THIS website-- make sure to include at least one about the US's recent attacks on Syria.

    • Write an MLA-style research paper explaining the information from each of these articles. Make sure to use direct quotes and to both paraphrase these quotes and then connect each back to your overall thesis. Use THIS website for MLA guidelines.

    • Type up a short paragraph explaining each of your top three ideas for topics for your TED Talk (3 paragraphs in all). In each paragraph, tell...

      • The specific topic and focus (i.e. don't say "Education," say, "How education varies from country to country")

      • The reason you are passionate about this topic (i.e. your life experiences, your background and education in the area, how it has impacted your life)

      • The reason it is an IDEA WORTH SHARING (i.e. what new info will you tell people, WHY does it matter that they know it, how will you change the way people think, how is your idea new and innovative?)

    • Choose a picture of yourself, crop everything but you out of it, and add it to the site
